Welcome to the Latin America culture section of the website. Here you will find interviews, reports and briefing sheets. These relate to the main countries for which our clients have requested support and information on language and culture issues. We shall be adding more countries and files to this section over the coming months.
The information you will find aims to provide anecdotal evidence of experiences companies and their staff have had when dealing with the language and culture of the countries covered. Although these case studies are often subjective by nature, they nevertheless act as a valuable tool to enabling your company be better prepared for communicating with and understanding your potential clients and suppliers abroad.
You will find here interviews with company staff and business support organisations, basic phrases in the language as part of the "Talk the Talk" series of materials, and short cultural briefing sheets. The "Talk the Talk" series comes with PDF handouts and accompanying audio materials, and the full range of resources can be found on the website
www.rlnpodcast.com.
The information presented here is designed for East of England businesses to supplement the generic information provided through the UK Trade & Investment posts overseas (see the "Countries" section of the website
www.uktradeinvest.gov.uk) by adding a case study dimension to the information available.
This section currently focuses on Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Mexico. We shall shortly be adding a more detailed report on Mexico to the portfolio.
NB: Each link will take you through to a page offering the downloads available for that particular country.
