Life Sciences in Bavaria: Business Culture & Business Opportunities

RLN East (UKTI) is holding the third in its series of culture workshops for 2011-12, focussed on Germany, with a specific review of the life science sector in Bavaria. The workshop will take place just south of Newmarket (venue TBA) on Tue 13 Mar from 09:30 to12:00.
The workshop is part of RLN East's ongoing partnership with BioM and One Nucleus, supporting the East of England and Bavaria's life science communities. Companies outside the life science sector are also welcome to attend, as many aspects of German business culture (the first presentation) are common to many industries.
The workshop, which is free to participating UKTI clients, is an opportunity to hear from our colleagues from both the East of England and Bavaria. An informal discussion session is also built into the workshop.
Aimed at company staff planning to work with Germany or those with some experience of trading in the Germany, this workshop will give you and your organisation the facts to:
• Understand the main elements of German business culture & environment
• Understand meeting timescales and negotiating styles
• Discuss situations which you have come across and hear the experience of other participants
• Appreciate the most appropriate responses to specific incidents and issues
