China Masterclass and Culture Workshop

Where: Holiday Inn, Colchester
This workshop is part of a series of 4 Masterclasses focused on doing business in Japan, Russia, China & Turkey. In partnership with the Hong Kong Development Council and Essex Chamber of Comemrce, it is aimed particularly at East of England companies registered on the UKTI Gateway programme, however companies who are interested in doing business in China or who have started to export to China are also welcome.

The workshop will focus on a range of topics, including an overview of the complexities of Chinese business culture, the growth of '2nd tier cities' in China, specific opportunities for UK exporters in Hong Kong, legal aspects to doing business in China, and case studies from companies who have been successful in China. Included in the workshop shall be a brief session on the planned UKTI manufacturing-environment mission to Zhejiang & Jiangxi in May 2012. There shall also be an opportunity to share experience and discuss queries as part of an interactive informal discussion forum as well as time for 1-1 discussions with UKTI staff and other contributors.
