Updated Gulf Culture Reports Now Available

As part of our series of field culture reports, we have updated our culture report on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and have developed a new one focussed on Qatar. You can find these via http://www.rln-east.com/resources/cultural-briefings.aspx.

Field culture reports are those which we have developed through discussions with businesses and business support organisations both in-market and in the UK, supported by information from UKTI colleagues in the target markets and desk research into business culture. The Saudi report contains anecdotes of companies' experience in exporting to the Kingdom and is based on a total of 23 meetings held in Eastern Province and Riyadh in Oct 2011. It is also supported by information from discussions during the Saudi culture workshop held in Nov 2009 in Bedfordshire.

The report focusses solely on Saudi language and business culture, and has been written in an informal style to reflect the comments made by those we met and to share answers to questions that were put forward by local businesses for consideration. To provide a range of views and establish consistency, we have cross-referenced comments from a number of sources.
